Biography
“It’s not going to work.” “I’ve tried everything.” “I’m never going to get better.” “It’s too hard.” “No one cares!” If you’ve said any of these lines then you might have felt lonely, exhausted, uncertain, or worthless. When life experiences cause you to question your present or doubt your future, something has to change.
Change is an intense and scary yet rewarding roller coaster ride full of twists, turns, highs, and lows; however, when a situation can no longer be changed then we must change our thoughts and feelings. Therapy provides an opportunity to learn, delete, or replace skills. It’s a place of personal transformation. Growth and change can be painful however nothing is as painful as being stuck where you don’t belong. I applaud your courage to manage and ultimately defeat anything that prevents you from living your best life.
I have worked in the field for over 16 years in various levels of care with adults and adolescents from outpatient and residential to inpatient treatment. I have worked with many adolescents that come from tough places and have struggled to cope with their life I completed my foundational training through Behavioral Tech in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and joined the Dialectical Behavior Therapy team at Beach Therapy & Consulting in 2019. Our practice specializes in the treatment of extreme emotional dysregulation including chronic suicidality and self-harming behaviors by providing an adherent Dialectical Behavior Therapy program for adolescents, young adults, and adults.
