Clinical Assistant

It offers a unique environment where you learn how to work in a practice from the ground up from clinical triaging, HIPAA and HITECH, patient care, marketing, working with area therapists and doctors, free licensure supervision (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, CSAC). Must have had clinical internships, carried/facilitated a client load previously. Must have computer skills in Mac, Word, and Excel and the ability to organize space and prioritize.

The ideal candidate has a warm and empathetic voice when interacting with patients over the phone and in session, can prioritize responsibilities and complete tasks in a timely manner, is proficient in computer skills, responds well to constructive criticism, has an interest in evidence-based practices, and a passion for providing trauma-informed care. This residency is ideal for any individual interested in pursuing private practice post-residency.

This position is specific to offering a clinical residency to learn Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidenced treatments based on area of interest for clients age 6 and up. Candidate must be willing to pay for all initial training with partial reimbursement. Multiple training opportunities are provided both in house and opportunities to attend trainings with cost.

• General office organization and management
• Conducts phone triage, intakes and referrals. Coordinates with external billing service.
• EHR Management and patient scheduling
• Assists in marketing clinical services
• For the first year- Works up the caseload to 50% patient load/50% clinical administrative work – much of which counts toward licensure
• Second year increases caseload with cases that are more specific to area of interest and looking toward taking and passing licensure test
• Supports the internship program
• Provide individual/family/ couples to client caseload with expectations with documentation and treatment plans for Medicaid and self-pay clients
• Provide both in office sessions and Telehealth with all sessions taped for review

• Completed Master’s Degree in Counseling, or Social Work and eligible for licensure supervision
• Clinical experience with mental health clients, basic interview skills, and customer service skills.
• Experience with office management, letter writing, marketing a plus
• Skills in typing, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
• Computer skills in using both Macintosh and Windows operating systems, use of email, and the internet.
• Must be open to receiving constructive feedback in supervision.
• Attendance at group and individual supervision

• Monday to Friday- hours vary based on population desiring to work with
• No weekends
